Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES MANUSCRIPT JOURNAL

UNIVERSITAS MEDAN AREA

 

Guidelines for manuscript writers can be described as follows.

The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English with a row density of 1.5 spaces, Cambria 12, A4 paper size, one-column format, and last custom margin settings (top 2.54 cm; left 2.54 cm; bottom 2.54 cm; right 2.54 cm).
The length of the scientific manuscript should be no more than 4000 words or about 10-12 pages, which includes pictures, graphs or tables (if any) that accompany it.
Structure of Scientific Articles research results

a) Structure of Scientific Article research results, consisting of 10 main parts, namely: (1) Title (2) Ownership Lines; (3) Abstract; (4) Keywords; (5) Introduction; (6) Research Methods; (7) Results and Discussion; (8) Conclusions; (9) Acknowledgments and (10) Bibliography.

b) The structure of non-research scientific articles is relatively the same. The structure of non-research scientific articles is divided into 9 main sections, namely: (1) Title; (2) Ownership Lines; (3) Abstract; (4) Keywords; (5) Introduction; (6) Discussion; (7) Conclusions; (8) Acknowledgments and (9) Bibliography.

Bibliography, referenced from about 40% of textbooks and 60% of scientific journal articles. The update of the referred scientific journal must be considered, at least it is the result of the relevant publication in the last 10 years. The bibliography is arranged alphabetically in alphabetical order by the name of the author. Writing a bibliography using APA Style.

a) Bibliography in the form of a journal:

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
