AUTHOR GUIDELINES
ARBITER: Jurnal Ilmiah Magister Hukum

1. General Guidelines
Manuscripts submitted to ARBITER: Jurnal Ilmiah Magister Hukum must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by other journals. Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English and should comply with the following technical requirements:
The manuscript length should not exceed 4,000 words or approximately 10–12 pages, including tables, figures, and references.
2. Structure of Research Articles
Research-based scientific articles must consist of the following ten (10) main sections:

Abstract
Keywords
Introduction
Research Methods
Results and Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgments
References
3. Structure of Non-Research Articles
Non-research scientific articles (conceptual papers, legal reviews, critical analyses) follow a similar structure, consisting of nine (9) main sections:

Author(s) and Affiliation(s)
Abstract
Keywords
Introduction
Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgments
References
4. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should be written in one paragraph, concise, and clearly state the purpose, method, main findings, and contribution of the manuscript.
Keywords consist of 3–5 terms that reflect the core concepts of the manuscript.
5. Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be clear, properly numbered, and accompanied by appropriate titles and sources. They should be referenced in the text and placed as close as possible to where they are discussed.
6. References and Citation Style
References must be relevant, credible, and up-to-date. Authors are required to ensure that:
At least 60% of references are derived from scientific journal articles, and up to 40% may come from textbooks or other scholarly sources.
Journal references should preferably be published within the last 10 years, unless they are foundational or seminal works.
All references must be cited in the text and listed in the reference section.
References are arranged alphabetically by the author’s last name.
The journal applies the APA (American Psychological Association) Style for citations and references.

7. Ethical Considerations
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work, avoiding plagiarism, and complying with ethical standards in research and publication. Manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
